چکیده
This paper presents a review of hydrogen production systems using geothermal energy, showing the importance and potential this technology in addition to main obstacles facing domain. The effect several parameters was taken into consideration, such as fluid temperature, water electrolysis working fluid, type power cycle. different types plants were also compared, namely, flash, binary, flash-binary, recuperative, regenerative, organic Rankine flash cycles. study covers wide range investigations regarding rate, cost, energetic efficiency, exergetic electricity generated. Hydrogen rate is one most important mentioned which it found vary from 5.439 kg/h 13958 kg/h. Multigeneration have shown great enhance overall system’s leading reduced costs. integration another energy source be interesting geothermal-driven systems. would promote adoption multigeneration system well increasing fluid’s temperature before entering

متن کاملEnergy and Exergy Analysis of a New Power, Heating, Oxygen and Hydrogen Cogeneration Cycle Based on the Sabalan Geothermal Wells
In this paper, a new power, heating and hydrogen cogeneration cycle from Sabalan geothermal two wells is proposed and analyzed. In the proposed system, a new double flash cycle and organic Rankine cycle are used for power production. A proton exchange membrane (PEM) is also used for hydrogen production and the domestic water heater is used for heating. The impacts of some design parameters, suc...
متن کاملEfficiency of hydrogen production systems using alternative nuclear energy technologies
Nuclear energy can be used as the primary energy source in centralized hydrogen production through high-temperature thermochemical processes, water electrolysis, or high-temperature steam electrolysis. Energy efficiency is important in providing hydrogen economically and in a climate friendly manner. High operating temperatures are needed for more efficient thermochemical and electrochemical hy...
متن کاملA Review on Environmental aspects of geothermal energ
New energy technologies, along with the benefits, are associated with challenges and Difficulties. Geothermal energy as one of the renewable energies is a clean and sustainable energy source, yet its development still has some impact on the environment such as: greenhouse gas emissions, noise pollution, surface and groundwater contamination, subsidence, and seismicity. This paper provides a bri...
